Inca Trail permits sell out 7 or more months in advance

Important note if you are considering the Inca Trail.

Regulations limit the number of people on the Inca Trail. Inca Trail permits are issued on a first-come, first-served basis and are non-transferable.

To ensure your spot we recommend that you reserve at least 6 months in advance for the high season months of April to September.
  • The sale of Inca Trail permits for the year 2017 will open the first week of January 2017. For Inca Trail adventures in April, May and June, 2016, we recommend that you reserve in mid-December 2016 at the VERY latest.  If you reserve your Inca Trail Adventure by mid-December, 2016, we guarantee your permit for 2017.
The only way to plan to hike the Inca Trail is to reserve in advance. Our Inca Trail Trekking Adventures are the finest Inca Trail Adventures that you can find.

The ONLY trail that leads to Machu Picchu and enters Machu Picchu through the Sun Gate is the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. There are no “alternate routes” to Machu Picchu.

The Inca Trail is the ONLY trail that leads to Machu Picchu

If you go "Once in your Lifetime" to Machu Picchu,
the Inca Trail is the ONLY trail you should consider.

There are NO alternate trails to Machu Picchu!

No other trail leads through the Sun Gate to Machu Picchu.

DO NOT BE MISLED!

Many tour operators are misleadingly offering the

Lodge-to-Lodge trek as "Inca Trail" treks to Machu Picchu
or Salkantay treks as Inca Trail to Machu Picchu.

Select your trip carefully!

The Salkantay Trail does not arrive in Machu Picchu

Do not be misled! There are no alternate Trails to Machu Picchu.
